Tidewall — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

Tidewall (the “Game”) is published by SDG Global LLC, doing business as Sandia Development Group (“we,” “us”). This policy explains exactly what the Game collects, why, and what it does not collect. It is deliberately short because the Game collects very little.

The short version

Tidewall has no analytics, no trackers, and no user accounts. It shows no advertising at all before version 1.1; from 1.1 the only ads are optional rewarded videos you choose to watch (see Advertising below). Apart from those, the only information that ever leaves your device is what’s needed to place you on the optional global leaderboard: a randomly generated ID, a display name you choose, and your game score and badges. We do not collect your real name, email, contacts, location, photos, or any advertising identifier.

What we collect, and why

When your score is posted to the global leaderboard, the Game sends the following to our leaderboard server:

That is the complete list of data transmitted off your device.

What stays on your device

Your settings (music, sound, haptics), your game progress, and your purchase entitlements are stored only on your device. We do not receive them.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address, or other payment details. The Game only learns that an item was purchased so it can unlock the corresponding content.

Advertising

Versions of the Game before 1.1 display no advertising of any kind. Beginning with version 1.1, the Game offers optional, opt-in rewarded videos: short ads you may choose to watch in exchange for in-game Tide Coins, Pearls, or a revive. There are no banners, no pop-ups, and no ads that interrupt play. If you never tap a “Watch ad” button, you will never see an ad.

Those rewarded videos are delivered by Google AdMob. When you choose to watch one, Google receives your device’s advertising identifier along with general device and network information in order to serve, frequency-cap, and measure that ad. We request non-personalized ads, which are not selected using a profile of your interests. We never receive that information ourselves, and the Game does not track you across other apps or websites. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can adjust or reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings at any time.

Service providers

We use two service providers strictly as infrastructure:

We do not sell or rent your information, and we never share it with anyone for marketing. Apart from the providers listed above, there are no other third parties.

Children

The Game does not knowingly collect real names, email addresses, or other personal contact information from anyone, including children. The optional handle is free-text chosen by the player; we ask that no personal information be entered there.

Data retention and your choices

Security

All data sent to the leaderboard is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this URL.
